Teenage Carlisle United midfielder Cameron Salkeld has joined Whitby Town on a one-month loan.
Salkeld, 18, was one of four Blues players to have signed "development contracts" in May after scoring his first senior goal in the Checkatrade Trophy last season during a 4-2 win over Fleetwood.
"Cameron is at a stage where he needs game time. He’s eager to play competitive football and this move will give him the opportunity to do that," United manager Keith Curle said.
"He’s going to a club who are looking to get results quickly and he will need to settle in and show that he can have a positive impact.
"It will be a good challenge for him and one that I know he’s looking forward to."
Salkeld will be available for Whitby's Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side's home game against Witton Albion on Saturday.
