FIRE crews were called out earlier today to reports of a small vehicle fire on the M6 between junction 41 and 42.
Firefighters received the call at about 2pm, when they arrived they found the vehicle to be well alight.
Two lanes were closed as a result but these have now reopened.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and breaking in tools to extinguish the fire.
They were there for about 45 minutes.
