Emergency services are still in the process of clearing the scene of a Lorry fire which took place at 4.23am today near the Carlisle Junction 43 M6 Northbound.
The M6 is reduced to two lanes and traffic is coping well after initial delays.
Traffic monitoring website Inrix updated at 9.06am says: "
"One lane closed due to emergency resurfacing repairs on M6 Northbound after J43 A69 (Carlisle). Traffic is coping well.
Lane one (of three) is closed just after the entry slip after an earlier lorry fire in the early hours of this morning.
Cumbria Roadwatch advised that the fire was reported at 4.23am saying: "Reports of a lorry fire on #M6 northbound at J43 (Carlisle Rosehill) at the bottom of the entry slip. Delays possible. #CumbriaRoads"
