CUMBRIA'S Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene of a vehicle fire in Brampton.
One fire engine attended the incident at 11:46am, February 25, on Union Lane.
An onlooker described the moment as a 'lucky escape' for the passenger as flames appeared from the vehicle's engine.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: "Fire crews used one hose reel jet and one breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
"Crews were on scene for approximately thirty minutes," they said.
