A FORMER pub building will go under the hammer this week with a guide price of £85,000.
The former Albion Inn on the corner of Eden Street and Skiddaw Street in Silloth will be going to auction on Thursday, April 4.
Auctioneers Auction House Cumbria will host the sale at Carlisle's Halston Hotel at midday.
According to the lot listing, the building is described as a "spacious former public house occupying a prominent corner site in this popular town on the Solway coast within easy reach of Carlisle, West Cumbria and the Lake District National Park.
"The property is situated on the corner of Eden Street and Skiddaw Street, opposite the rugby and football club fields and close to caravan parks and Silloth green.
"Last used as a public house with spacious, four bedroomed flat on the upper floors it is suitable or a variety of uses subject to the necessary planning consents.
"Interested parties should make their own enquiries to Cumberland Council regarding their proposed use."
