A group of sausage dog owners are meeting up this weekend in order to raise money for the great north air ambulance (GNAAS).
15 sausage dogs and their brave owners are descending on Applegarth ‘Sniffari’ to meet up and raise money for GNAAS by donating online.
Applegarth Sniffari is situated near Heads Nook just past Warwick Bridge and is a securely fenced dog walking field available for private hire to dog owners, dog walkers and dog trainers.
The sniffari is designed for dogs in training, people who can't walk their dog long distances, nervous owners, dogs with poor recall and to help dogs get used to livestock.
The event is being organised by Rachel Vickers and a representative from GNAAS will also be there.
Due to the size of the sniffari, only 15 dogs can meet up there but plans are underway for another charity sausage dog event.
