CUMBRIA Police have given an update since they introduced Tesla patrol cars last week.
The constabulary has added electric vehicles to their fleet temporarily.
The vehicles have been used since April 22 by the road policing unit.
A spokesperson said: "Week one of the Tesla Demo is complete. So far, the combined patrol mileage has been 2406 miles.
"This has included an Abnormal Load Movement and general Roads Policing Functions around the county. We are comparing the battery capability of both models."
The trial of the vehicles is set to run until July.
