Officers from Penrith Fire Station were called out early this morning to a large fire involving a caravan and a tractor.
Just before 1am today (Saturday May 11) both appliances from Penrith were mobilised to reports of a large fire in the open near Temple Sowerby.
En route there were further calls to 999 confirming that this fire was involving one Caravan, one LGV carrying a Tractor and a large quantity of general rubbish.
Penrith Fire Station committed two breathing apparatus wearers with two hose reel jets initially, then moved onto compressed air foam to fully extinguish the fire.
Fire crews were on scene for just over two hours.
