A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a car yesterday (May 13).
The crash, which involved a Ford Mondeo and a Honda motorcycle, happened on the road from Eaglesfield to Hundith Hill - at Roundclose Hill, Cockermouth, at about 2pm yesterday.
The motorcyclist, a 61-year-old man from Cockermouth, was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary at Newcastle.
The driver of the car, a man, 43, from Cockermouth, was uninjured.
Anybody who witnessed the collision or has any information is asked to contact PC 2671 Colin Dunne or Sgt 1929 Martin Bainbridge on 101.
