EMERGENCY service teams are dealing with a lorry fire on the A66.
The incident occurred today, July 29, at the Appleby Bypass.
In a post on social media, Cumbria Police wrote: "We are currently assisting our colleagues at Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service following a lorry fire on the A66 at Appleby Bypass.
"The westbound carriageway is currently closed and one lane of the eastbound carriageway.
"Motorists are asked to avoid the area."
