A driver was taken to hospital after a car collided with a house and several vehicles in Gosforth.
The man, who is in his fifties, was taken to West Cumberland Hospital following the incident at Whitecroft on Sunday at about 6.30pm.
Emergency services including the police and ambulance as well as Egremont and Seascale firefighters were called to the incident, which also damaged a telephone sub station.
It is thought that the driver may have suffered a medical episode.
A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We received reports of a car going into a house and that the driver was unconscious."
She said there were no major trauma indications.
Cumbria police confirmed the details of the collision officers and that the driver of the vehicle, a Jeep, was taken to hospital.
A spokesman added: "The occupants of the house were uninjured."
The hole in the property has been boarded up.
