Police, paramedics and a mountain rescue team all rushed to the aid of a three month old baby who had fallen from their bed.
The family and their baby were visiting Derwent House on Derwent Island.
It was feared that the baby may have suffered a head injury and an inflatable craft was deployed by Keswick Mountain Rescue Team.
The boat then transported a paramedic to the island, while a backup boat was prepared at Derwent Water Marina.
Emergency services were called at about 9.30pm on Tuesday night to the scene.
After being checked over by paramedics, it was found that there was no apparent injury. However, the baby was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary for further examinations to be carried out.
The baby and their family were transported back to the shore and taken to the Cumberland Infirmary via ambulance.
A total of 15 team members from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were deployed to the scene and they were in attendance for about three and a half hours.
The team were also called to rescue a father and son who were got lost walking from Maiden Moor to High Spy on Monday.
Heavy rain and poor visibility meant the pair lost their path and ended up stuck. But the weather had soon cleared and they found their way.
