A MAN has denied causing another man grievous bodily harm.
Jordan Starkey, 24, faces one charge following an alleged incident at Main Street, Hensingham, Whitehaven, on May 22 last year.
Starkey appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.
He pleaded not guilty to unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on David Cartmell.
This plea was entered during a short hearing before Judge Peter Davies.
Starkey, of Patterdale Close, Whitehaven, is due to go on trial at the crown court in July.
Starkey was remanded in custody.
