A MAN grabbed a teenage girl as she walked along a street in Carlisle.
Police have launched an investigation and have appealed to anyone who saw anything to contact them.
The 14-year-old girl and a friend were on Victoria Place, near Richard Rose academy, at about 9.45am on Wednesday when their attention was drawn to two unknown men.
One of the men crossed the road and grabbed one of the girl's arms.
She managed to break his grip and ran to a friend's house.
The man rejoined his pal and they walked off towards Warwick Road.
He is described as white, aged 30 to 40 years old, about 5ft 8in tall and of broad build. He had short black straight hair. He was wearing a bright red hip-length jacket.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101.
