The 21-year-old second rower has joined on a month’s loan to help out the club in their current injury crisis.
And coach Phil Veivers said he will be delighted to welcome him on board when he attends his first training session tonight.
“He has some versatility about him. He can play in the middle or the edges and at a push can also go into the centres,” said Veivers.
“He has some size about him and some bang and he is not exactly slow so he has all the attributes to help improve our side.”
Veivers is pleased to bring in another body to help with their current injury crisis ahead of Sunday’s clash with
Featherstone Rovers at the Zebra Claims Stadium, ko 3pm.
And he says Gee, who has made several Super League appearances for the Red Devils, will go straight into the team to make his home debut.
“I am pleased to get somebody in and people that I have spoken to have given the kid massive raps as to where he is in his development and career,” added Veivers.
“He is obviously an extra body but he also brings in competition for places which is what we need.”
Veivers has said Liam McAvoy will definitely miss out this weekend with his shoulder injury and there is still doubt over Jarrad Stack following his concussion last Sunday.
“We will have to see how it goes with Jarrad as he is still under concussion protocol,” said Veivers.
“But if there is any doubt in my mind then I won’t play him.”
However, in better news for the coach, Brett Carter and Declan Hulme will both come back into contention.
