Whitehaven have sacked head coach James Coyle with five games of the season remaining.
The club announced this morning that they had let Coyle go, ahead of this weekend's crunch derby with Workington Town.
A statement from the club read: "Unfortunately the Board of Directors have decided that, due to recent circumstances, we are left with no option but to relieve the Head Coach of his duties, with immediate effect.
"We wish James all the best in the future."
Haven have also confirmed that Coyle's assistant, Gary Broadbent, has left the club.
Haven are currently rock bottom of the Championship, two points adrift from Workington and four off Swinton, in the safety zone.
