Comedy veterans Cannon and Ball return to Cumbria as part of the touring production The Dressing Room.
The long-running double act have performed in the county many times since starting out in the industry together in the early 1960s, and continue to pack out venues across the UK today.
The Dressing Room is a comedy play written by and starring Bobby Ball and his collaborator Tommy Cannon, who find themselves involved in the crazy goings-on of compere Stu Francis and fellow comic Johnnie Casson.
Set behind the scenes at a run-down theatre, the show combines sitcom with variety and comedy - part play, part variety show.
The play is split in half - one half is the stage show and the other is a "behind the scenes" glimpse into the dressing room.
It has been visiting select theatres across the north west since 2015, with Bobby Ball also still touring his most recent stand-up show, Rock Off, Tommy.
The duo met in the early 1960s while working as welders, starting out as singers working the pubs and clubs of Greater Manchester. Their first TV appearance was in 1974 in the variety show The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club, but they are best known for their comedy variety show The Cannon and Ball Show, which ran for nine years on ITV.
In recent years, Cannon and Ball have continued to find success as a comic duo in theatre and pantomime, along with numerous cameo appearances on TV - both appearing in the 2005 series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.
The duo most recently visited Cumbria on tour in 2014 in another comedy play, entitled Ha Ha Hood! And The Prince of Leaves, while Bobby Ball also performed stand-up in Millom the following year - telling an audience at the Palladium about his life and his Christian faith.
Long-term friends and previous collaborators Stu Francis and Johnnie Casson are both part of this latest touring production. Francis is best known as the lead presenter on the children's television programme Crackerjack, and older Cumbrian fans may remember his 1987 Border TV series, Crush a Grape.
Casson made his name on ITV's stand-up showcase The Comedians and made many guest appearances on the chat show Des O'Connor Tonight in the late 90s.
The Dressing Room comes to the Carnegie Theatre, Workington, on Thursday, February 9 and tickets are available from the venue's box office.
