WE shared the news that the ‘ultimate’ ABBA singalong experience is coming to Carlisle.
ABBAOKE takes to the stage at Box Arena, Portland Place, Carlisle, on April 26 2025, and fans of the iconic Swedish pop group are promised an evening of nostalgia, joy, and the timeless hits they’re well known for.
We asked our readers what they thought was the best ABBA song.
Here's what they said.
Morgan Freemanlamb said the best was the 1979 track Does Your Mother Know, while Sinéad Gracey Watson said: "Winner Takes it All, always makes me sad but I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do is my favourite upbeat one."
Thank You for the Music from 1977 was chosen by Jeanette Mattinson and both Emma Montgomery and Mary Hillhouse picked Dancing Queen released in 1976.
Fiona Jessiman picked Fernando, also from 1976, and Fonda Buoyse said: "Chiquitita, the beginning still gives me chills."
Shirley Wood's favourite was I Have A Dream and the 1981 track Slipping Through My Fingers was the best according to Ann Broad.
