BOWRON Alan Alan's niece Lesley, his nephew Peter and all the family would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy. Special thanks to those who helped Alan stay safe in his own home while in the last few years of his illness; All Seasons Home Care for such professional and compassionate care on their daily visits; Meals on Wheels Cumbria for ensuring Alan enjoyed nutritious meals every day; Lanercost House Care home, in particular Anna, who cared for Alan in his final weeks; Claire Herdman from Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Directors for her kindness and empathy throughout our sadness; Derek Donaldson, who conducted Alan's celebration service with superb dignity and humour, befitting Alan's life, and finally, thanks to Stephanie Saville of Carlisle Model Engineering Society for her lovely tribute in the Cumberland News with photos of Alan and his engines. Full steam ahead once more Alan, God speed.
