DOWNIE, David Rhoades (Border Steelwork Structures Ltd) Peacefully at Eden Valley Hospice, after a short illness on Sunday 4th June 2023, David, aged 72 years. Dearly loved husband of Jean, cherished son of Joan and the late Alec, adored and devoted dad of Jane Ann and Michael, proud grandad of Megan, Jonathan and Daisy, a dear brother of Gwyneth and Jennifer, brother-in-law of John and Kelvin, treasured father-in-law of Carl and Helen and son-in-law of Tommy and the late Lily. David will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral service to be held at Wigton Road Methodist Church on Tuesday 27th June at 11am followed by interment in Carlisle Cemetery at 12:30pm.
