BURGESS Jean Peacefully on Monday 26th June at Penrith Hospital, Jean aged 86. Former ''Cracker Packer'' at Carrs Biscuits. Beloved wife of the late Jack, a much loved Mam of Laurence, John, Thomas and Helen. A cherished Nana, Grandma and Great-Grandma. A loving Aunty and a friend to many. A Celebration of Jean's life will be held on Friday 7th July at 2.20pm at Carlisle Crematorium. Flowers welcome, and donations, if so desired, can be made to The Royal British Legion in Jean's memory. All enquiries to Michael Walsh Funeral Directors 01228 514000.

As Jean's Sister-in-Law for many years, I remember when she first came to Carlisle with my Brother when he was demobbed from the Army in Liverpool.
I was a young girl and Jean worked at the 14MU and she took me to a Christmas Party there and I won a Doll. I called her Rosebud.
No more heartache Jean and no more Pain. I'll miss our chats.
