CHARLTON Clifford (Cliff) of Armathwaite Peacefully at the Cumberland Infirmary on Sunday 2nd July 2023, Cliff aged 90 years. Dearly loved partner of Joan. Cliff will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Service to be held at Carlisle Crematorium on Friday 14th July at 3:40pm. All enquiries to Jill Glencross Independent Funeral Directors. Dear Joan, I am more sorry than I can say at seeing the news that Cliff has died. I remember Cliff as a super chap, funny , kind , knowledgeable and supremely a natural gentleman. I cannot imagine your distress and only wish I could say or do something that would give you some comfort . I am afraid I have not kept in touch as much as I would have liked but if you would like to email me to have a chat (at a distance so to speak ) then please do, I would like that very much. I do recall our all too brief chats about poetry, books etc very fondly. We are thinking of you at this abysmal time. with all our thoughts, Sheila and Don Stuart.
