ESTERS Michael Charles (Mike) Suddenly on Sunday 27th August 2023, Michael (Mike), aged 71 years. Dearly loved husband of Mandy, much loved dad of Amber, also a dear son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. Requiem Mass to be held at St. Augustine's R.C. Church, Waverley Road, Carlisle on Monday 11th September at 11:00am followed by private interment in Dalston Cemetery. Mike will be received into church on Sunday 10th September at 6:00pm. All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu, if so desired, to Prostate Cancer UK. My memories of Mike centered around school and athletics. I considred him a friend. We often competed for the same positions and shared playing time in football and basketball. We ran track together and shared many positive memories.
I did lose contact with Mike when he moved and have enjoyed re-connecting through the Zoom events hosted by Chris Ostlund.
