METCALFE Ernest (Ernie) Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, 7th September, Ernest (Ernie) of Hunsonby, Penrith. Beloved husband of the late Jean, dearly loved dad of Danny, Angela, Richard and Tim, sadly missed father-in-law of Ruth, John, Jill and Sally, a much loved pa and great-pa, brother of the late Winnie. Aged 89 years. Service and interment at St. Michael's Church, Addingham on Tuesday, 19th September at 1.00 pm. Family flowers only, but if desired, donations for Guide Dogs for the Blind may be sent c/o Richardsons Funeral Directors, Victoria Road, Penrith, CA11 8HR.
