So sorry to hear of Ian's passing. Enjoyed his company immensely at MAFF and our frenetic tussles at five a side football. A real character with a strong love and appreciation of his family. RIP my friend.

So very sad to learn of Ian's death. Fond memories of time spent with he and Jenny and family. His love of life and his pride in his family, never being still, always on the go, always welcoming when we dropped by. My sincere condolences to Jenny and family, thinking of you all from afar. I imagine all the dogs in heaven running to greet him now. Much love, June Hutton

So sad to hear this news. We hold many happy memories of Willy before we migrated to Australia in 1990. In particular the occasions when we looked after the Kennels in Dalston on the rare times he took a holiday. June worked with him at MAFF in the early 70s and Keith enjoyed many hours of playing 5-a-side with him. He was a gem of a gentleman and we shall remember him with great fondness. Our love and sincere condolences to Jenny and the boys, together with their extended families. Keith, June, Dawn & Anna. (Melbourne Australia)

Very sad to read of Ian's passing. I worked with him for a long time from 1980, when first coming to the area, until his retirement. He was always friendly, helping me to get into playing squash locally, and he was an enthusiastic and diligent professional in his role. Always full of energy and with a dry wit. My condolences to his family.
