SMITH Reverend John Sydney John passed away peacefully on Tuesday 11th June 2024. Beloved husband of the late Jill, loving dad of David and Andrew and treasured by his grandchildren Molly, Bonnie, Alfred, Mary and Hamish. Formerly the County Librarian of Cumbria and in later years a non-stipendiary minister for the parish of Arthuret, he was a resident of Walton and previously Castle Carrock. John will be sorely missed by family, friends, neighbours and members of the church in both these parishes. Funeral service will take place at St Mary's Church, Walton on Friday 21st June at 11am.
