TURNER Thelma nee Schofield Peacefully at Henry Lonsdale Rosehill Care Home on Thursday 22nd August, after a long illness bravely borne. Thelma aged 88 Years, formerly of Garth Heads Road, Appleby. A much loved Wife of the late Peter, A former County Golf and Badminton Captain and a true friend to many. A funeral service will be held at St Lawrence's Church, Appleby on Tuesday 3rd September at 11am, followed by interment at Appleby Cemetery, family flowers only are requested, but if desired, donations in memory of Thelma will be given to The Alzheimer's Society and may be left at the service or sent c/o Glyn Jones Funeral Directors, 12 Battlebarrow, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6XS.
