There is a new star attraction at one Cumbrian wildlife park this Christmas - as it boasts its very own baby reindeer.

Snow white Olaf - named by readers of The Cumberland News - is now three-months-old, and managers of Walby Farm Park near Carlisle expect him to be a big hit.

Nick Hastings, the park's animal barn manager, said: "Olaf is going to be a big part of our winter wonderland celebrations.

"Children will be able to come in, meet Father Christmas, and then walk out to see Olaf and his mum Elsa.

"He's lovely and tame and feeds out of our hand, so he might even come close enough for the children to stroke him."

Olaf and Elsa will not be the only reindeer on show this festive season either: the park's Anna and her daughter Savannah are also going to be out and about for visitors to marvel at.

Unfortunately the time of year means Sven and Comet will have to remain out of sight.

Walby's Winter Wonderland launches tomorrow and also includes the elves’ post room, a giant snow globe, Walby’s photo booth and the chance to join the elves’ teddie tastic workshop.
