Motorists are being warned of delays on the M6 in Cumbria due to a vehicle fire.
Highways England say southbound traffic is being "held" between junctions 36 and 35 in the south of the county. Only two lanes are open there and it is adding about 20 minutes onto journeys.
Firefighters are at the scene.
Early suggestions are that the problem could be cleared by 5.30pm.
A Highways England spokesperson tweeted: "Please expect delays, we'll keep you updated."
