A man was airlifted to hospital after collapsing at a Lake District beauty spot.
The man, in his 70s, was helped by North West Ambulance Service and the Great North Air Ambulance after suffering a medical collapse at Ashness Bridge, near Derwentwater, soon after 11am today.
He was flown to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle in a life-threatening condition.
