A trucker who died in a crash on one of north Cumbria's main roads has been named by police.
Ian Ewart, 48, died on Monday evening in Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary after suffering a suspected medical episode at the wheel of his HGV.
The collision took place on the A7 near Longtown.
He was travelling in the direction of the town, near to the Camelot Holiday Park, when his vehicle left the road and crashed into a hedgerow.
Police have today confirmed his identity and revealed he is from the Langholm area.
Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101.
