Road closed after cyclist hurt in Carlisle
A cyclist has been taken to hospital following an incident in Carlisle.
It happened on Brampton Road, in the north of the city, just after 2pm today.
It is believed the female cyclist fell off her bike after suffering a medical episode.
No other vehicles were involved.
The road was closed in both directions between Stanwix Bank and Church Lane while emergency services dealt with the incident.
The road reopened at about 3.30pm.
The woman was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary.
