FIREFIGHTERS from Cumbria were called on to help bring a blaze at a Gretna services under control.
The crew from Longtown arrived to find a bus and lorry well alight as they assisted colleagues from Gretna and Annan.
They were alerted at about 6.15pm yesterday.
Longtown Fire Station said: "The crews saved another adjacent lorry, protecting it long enough that it could be safely moved, but the bus and and lorry that were alight were totally lost.
"Thankfully no persons, either the public or emergency services were hurt and a good job was done by all the crews involved."
