An injured climber had to be rescued after the leader fell a suffered a suspected fractured leg.
Members of Keswick Mountain Rescue Team were called on Thursday, March 28, after two friends planned to climb Little Chamonix at Shepherds Crag.
A spokesperson for Keswick MRT said: "The leader fell approximately 6ms off the first pitch and sustained injuries to his leg."
The volunteers and doctors treated the climber's suspected limb fracture and provided him with pain relief.
The spokesperson continued: "The casualty was stretchered the short distance to the road and then dispatched to hospital."
A total of 11 volunteers spent two hours helping the pair.
