A RURAL road in north Cumbria could be shut off for four weeks to allow workers to fix damage caused by landslip.
Cumbria County Council highways team will begin work on the C1030 road at Walton Moss, Walton on Monday.
They are scheduled to repair the embankment, damaged in a landslip, and do drainage works at the same time.
The work is earmarked to last until Friday, June 14, a council spokesman said.
However, in order to carry out the works safely it will be necessary to put in place a road closure while it is taking place.
Workers will be on site will be between 8am and 4pm.
A council spokesman said: “I would ask that you liaise with site staff if you have concerns on the day or alternatively if you are aware of an issue in advance you can contact the team on 0300 303 2922.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and your patience and co-operation in this matter would be very much appreciated.”
