Helen Grant
Helen Grant, the Conservative vice chair for Communities, has resigned from the position in order to "actively and openly" support one of the new leadership candidates, she said on Twitter.
The MP for Maidstone and The Weald grew up in Carlisle's Raffles estate and has held several senior positions in the Government.
It is a further blow for Theresa May's position as Prime Minister. She is expected to announce her departure date today.
