A MEMORIAL service for parents who have lost a baby or child will take place at Carlisle Cemetery.
The annual event is a chance to reflect and remember loved ones.
It takes place at the cemetery chapel, off Richardson Street, on Saturday, September 7 at 3pm.
Local residents are being invited to Carlisle Cemetery’s Annual Babies’ Memorial Service on Saturday 7 September at 3pm.
The short service is open anyone who has ever suffered the loss of a child.
The remembrance event will be led by Reverend Annie Gray, Chaplain at the Cumberland Infirmary, attended by Carlisle mayor Marilyn Bowman.
It will include hymns, prayers and blessings. Parents will receive a carnation in memory of their loved one, which can be placed within the Babies’ Memorial Garden.
