History: Treeby & Bolton is an independent family business with a rich history dating back to the early 1900s.
In 2007 this historic Keswick building was extended, creating a stylish and contemporary gallery and cafe where shoppers can enjoy good food with friends and family and discover unique interiors and contemporary art.
Style of food: From quality loose leaf tea, craft roasted coffee, hand baked scones and cakes to savoury bakes, fish platters and a glass of wine. A hint of luxury for all.
Quality and customer service sets Treeby & Bolton apart and makes it a favourite for those who want to feel at home yet always be pleasantly surprised.
Menu sample: Treeby’s sharing board for two, with smoked chicken breast, beef pastrami, local pepperpot sausage, homemade scotch egg, creamy brie, Eden Chieftain mature cheddar and Black Dub Blue, crusty bread, pickles and chutney (£15.95 or £25 with a carafe of wine); smoked fish platter with Scottish smoked salmon, smoked trout, homemade smoked mackerel paté and prawns in marie rose sauce served with pickles, relish and crusty bread (£9.45); giant sausage and apple roll – our interpretation of a classic Hairy Bikers recipe, served warm with Hawkshead black garlic ketchup, green salad or fries (£7.25); golden goat’s cheese and beetroot salad - goat’s cheese in a crispy golden crumb served warm with a salad of beetroot, orange and toasted walnuts (£7.25); poached salmon and rocket open sandwich with a tangy lemon mayonnaise and peppery rocket on a crusty rye roll served with a green salad and Kettle Chips (£7.25).
Seasonal specials include steak and ale stew - homemade with tender beef and local ale served with a freshly baked cheese scone, crusty bread or French fries (£8.95).
There’s also a tempting selection of handmade cakes and freshly baked scones. Favourites include our famous lemon meringue pie, warm Bakewell tart and our delicious gluten free orange and cranberry cake(all £3.50).
In their own words: “We want to give our customers an experience to remember with the service you expect from an independent family business.”
