Wasdale mountain rescue volunteers spent the night hunting for two walkers lost on Scafell Pike.
Called initially by Cumbria Police late on Saturday night, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were scrambled to Scafell Pike after two walkers had not made it back to their families when expected.
The team then began a search of the paths leading up to the Scafell Pike.
A spokesman for the Wasdale volunteer rescue team said: "With the assistance of Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team, the missing persons where located near Calfcove Gill at approximately 06:30 and walked off the hill safe and well."
"All team members [were] off the hill and back at base shortly after 9am."
