A Cumbrian museum is continuing to bring local history to life in spite of the coronavirus lockdown, with the help of well-known Cumbrian presenter Helen Skelton.
Cumbria's Museum of Military Life, based at Carlisle Castle, is like all other museums currently closed as a result of the coronavirus lockdown.
But the museum is doing what it can to help people interact with the county's military history.
The museum has decided to post a series of short video clips online that tell the story of The Border Regiment, which saw action in the Second Boer War, World War I and World War II before being reorganised into the King's Own Royal Border Regiment, amalgamating with the King's Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) in 1959.
The video clips, which form part of the museum's experience in normal times, are narrated by Cumbrian TV presenter Helen Skelton.
Visit the museum's Facebook page for more information.
