A Cumbrian mountain rescue team came to the aid of three walkers who had become lost while descending from Scafell.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were called out on Sunday at about 3.20pm, after three walkers contacted Cumbria Police once they became lost in the poor visibility brought on by wet weather.
Wasdale's team leader was able to locate them swiftly by tracking their mobile phones, and two team members who were already on the fell were able to intercept htem on their way back, before escorting them back to their vehicle.
The previous week, on Monday, the team was also briefly called out to help three walkers after they became stuck on steep, loose scree, after having lost track of the path when descending from Great Gable in the Kern Knotts area.
The team located them, and with ropes helped them off the difficult ground before guiding them back to Wasdale.
A total of 10 team members were involved.
