A GRATEFUL mother has faced her fear, raising funds for a mountain rescue service for which her son volunteers.
Pauline Minor tackled her fear of snakes at Lake District Wildlife Park in Keswick to raise money for Wasdale Mountain Rescue.
The challenge raised £300 in sponsorship money for the organisation close to her heart.
Pauline faced her lifelong fear of snakes, by meeting Royal Python George who was handled by his keeper Kasper.
Pauline said it was a double success as she raised vital funds for the charitable organisation whilst conquering her own fear.
