Phone users have been left confused and frustrated after their mobile network unexpectedly cut out.
Many mobiles on O2 are currently without service, with multiple reports made to both the provider and website, Downdetector.
In the past hour, about 65 reports have been created by users who experienced a sudden loss of signal, with the highest number coming from around Whitehaven and Workington.
The O2 website states that, "a phone mast isn't working as well as we would expect".
Engineers are currently carrying out checks to investigate the issue, and trouble with calls, texts and data is expected until the issue is resolved.
The network has seemed unstable throughout the day, with other spikes being seen at 9.50am and 1.05pm.
To report an issue with your network, visit status.o2.co.uk, or downdetector.co.uk.
