Speed camera ruined on the A596, along Wigton bypass.
An investigation has been launched after speed cameras have been tampered with.
The vandals have caused damage to speed cameras on the A596 at Wigton.
It is believed to have happened between Christmas Eve and 7am on Christmas Day.
A spokesman for the police said: "The cameras have had their metal casing cut and have been left on the floor."
Police are appealing for anyone with any information and as for the public to call PC 2635 Jefferson on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
