ANGLERS can continue to cast their lines at a popular fishery near Brampton.
New Mills Trout Fishing Park is reopening its fishery on January 4, but has had to close its wigwams due to Tier 4 restrictions.
Under the guidelines, outdoor sports facilities including fisheries, golf courses and riding centre can remain open. Fishing locally with one other person from another household is allowed.
Competitions, however, cannot go ahead. The Angling Trust said regardless of the ability to run angling competitions with no form of gathering, the new laws meant that any form of competition was prohibited.
