Icy conditions are causing problems on Cumbrian roads.
Cumbria Police has issued a warning for motorists to take care on roads.
A statement on Facebook reads: "Untreated surfaces could be icy almost anywhere this morning, please take care, we are already dealing with a number of accidents due to icy road conditions."
Traffic is currently at a standstill on the M6 northbound due to collision.
All traffic at junction 43 is at a standstill due to the crash.
Elsewhere Newlands Pass closed due to wet and icy roads in the Lake District.
Stagecoach has announced that some of their services may be delayed due to the weather.
A tweet reads: "Due to hazardous road conditions, with black ice on the roads following last nights rain and freezing conditions, our services in and around the #Carlisle #Penrith area may be subject to delay. Our drivers will do their best to get to you as soon as is safely possible."
There have also been reports that Hartside pass is blocked due to a jack-knifed Spar lorry.
Police were called at 6.21am today to reports of a collision on Cumberland Street, Carlisle.
Involved in the collision was a Stagecoach bus.
The road was temporarily blocked but has since been repoened.
It was reported the bus had crashed into a house but it was subsequently confirmed there was no contact with the building and there were no injuries reported.
