Generic image of snow on the roads
A number of roads remain closed due to snow and ice across Cumbria.
A yellow Met Office weather warning for ice is in place until 11am today morning (January 10) which predicts that icy stretches may lead to some difficult driving conditions.
Roads which are affected due to snow or ice:
- Braithwaite - Newlands Pass - closed due to wet and icy roads in the Lake District;
- Duddon Bridge - Corney Fell Road - both ways closed due to snow between Duddon Bridge and Corney;
- Low Lorton - B5289 - B5289 both ways closed due to snow between Lorton (Low Lorton) and Buttermere (Buttermere).
