Motorists could face delays this morning (Thursday) as a number of road closures are in place.

  • A686 - Hartside Pass passable with care between Penrith and Alston.
  • A684 - Barely passable due to Snow between Sedbergh and Garsdale Head.
  • B5305 - Snow and Ice causing slow traffic between Sowerby Row and Catterlen.
  • A5087 Reports of flooding on the Coast Road near Bardsea.
  • A66 Penruddock - A66 Eastbound closed, stationary traffic due to accident from Penruddock turn off to A592 (Rheged roundabout, Redhills).
  • A591 Ambleside Road - Windermere. Temporary traffic lights on A591 Ambleside Road near Priory Grange.
  • A596 Prospect - Temporary traffic lights and roadworks on A596 near Miners Arms Inn pub.
  • B5299 Caldbeck - B5299 both ways closed due to repairs to a cattle grid from Blue Gate Crossroads to B5305.
