Fourteen patients have died with coronavirus in Cumbria according to the latest daily figures.
Public Health England and NHS England announced the number of deaths within 28 days of the patient's first positive test result for Covid-19 newly reported yesterday.
The latest weekly figure for deaths in Cumbria where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate for the week ending January 8 was 53.
The daily figure can be broken down as follows:
- Allerdale - 2
- Barrow - 2
- Carlisle - 4
- Copeland - 1
- Eden - 4
- South Lakeland - 1
There were 327 new cases of coronavirus reported in Cumbria yesterday (January 22).
The latest weekly cases in each area for the week ending January 17, accompanied by the rate per 100,000, can be found below:
- Allerdale - 449 (459.3 per 100,000)
- Barrow - 337 (502.6 per 100,000)
- Carlisle - 861 (792.2 per 100,000)
- Copeland - 276 (404.8 per 100,000)
- Eden - 216 (405.6 per 100,000)
- South Lakeland - 294 (279.8 per 100,000)
The average case rate per 100,000 in England is 472.9.
