Eleven more people have died with coronavirus in Cumbria - three less than during the previous 24 hours.
Public Health England and NHS England announced the number of deaths within 28 days of the patient's first positive test result for Covid-19 newly reported yesterday.
The latest weekly figure for deaths in Cumbria where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate for the week ending January 8 was 53.
The daily figure can be broken down as follows:
Allerdale - 5
Barrow - 0
Carlisle - 3
Copeland - 1
Eden - 1
South Lakeland - 1
There were 279 new cases of coronavirus reported in Cumbria yesterday (January 23), down from 327 new positive tests the day before.
The latest weekly cases in each area for the week ending January 18, accompanied by the rate per 100,000, can be found below:
Allerdale - 390 (398.9 per 100,000)
Barrow - 326 (486.2 per 100,000)
Carlisle - 808 (743.5 per 100,000)
Copeland - 274 (401.9 per 100,000)
Eden - 189 (354.9 per 100,000)
South Lakeland - 302 (287.4 per 100,000)
The England average of cases per 100,000 is 453.6.
